Beach & Gumbalimba Wildlife Preserve
Dive into a timeless
adventure with the combination of Tabyana Beach Day and the Gumbalimba
Preservation Park Tours. Spend a day in the “Lost Caribbean” and bask in the
sun at the edge of turquoise waters. Palm trees provide shade for those who
would like to stay out of the sun. Package includes admission to the beach, use
of changing and shower facilities, round-trip transportation and a BBQ style
lunch.
At Gumbalimba Park discover a park where
nature, history and adventure surround you. View the monkeys and macaws or
stroll through the gardens. Roam through Coxen's Cave where the in-depth
history of the island awaits you.
Enter into the Insectarium and discover the
regions insects. A short drive takes you over to Tabyana Beach where you can
enjoy the crystalline waters of the Caribbean or lounge on the beach with the
cooling trade winds.

Sailing & Snorkeling With Lunch
Your adventure begins at the cruise ship pier, where you’ll be
met by your Captain and crew. After a scenic 30 minute bus transfer get ready
to board your waiting 60 foot, modern, sailing catamaran. After a short safety
briefing, you’ll set sail along the scenic coast of Roatan in stunning
turquoise Caribbean waters. During your sail to the snorkeling point, you’ll be
fitted with your snorkeling equipment and given safety instructions. There is
plenty of room to stretch out on the forward sun deck and ample comfortable
shaded seating. There’s also a bar serving soft drinks and purified water
before snorkeling. After approximately one half hour, you’ll arrive at the
snorkeling point.
Snorkeling here is about the best the Caribbean has to offer.
Enter the crystal clear, warm water, via the center stair case. Get an up close
view of beautiful living coral and a large variety of tropical reef fish. All
levels of snorkeler's, novice, intermediate and advanced snorkeler's will enjoy
this site. Your snorkel guides will direct you to the best areas and make sure
you are comfortable.
After all snorkeling is finished (approximately 60 minutes)
you’re invited aboard to enjoy unlimited rum punch, rum drinks, fruit punch,
soft drinks and a rotisserie roast chicken lunch with rice, pasta salad,
cabbage salad and fresh fruit in season. Kick back and relax, listen to
Caribbean music as you sail to the disembarkation point for your return
transfer to your ship, approximately 30 minutes. One of the crew will accompany
you back to the ship and be happy to answer any questions about Roatan &

Harvest Caye in Southern Belize is the
Caribbean's premier island destination. Immerse yourself in natural beauty
and culture on a 75-acre oasis featuring an expansive pool with a swim-up bar,
salt-water lagoon for water sports, exclusive 7-acre beach and exciting shore
excursions ranging from zip lining across the island to snorkeling the world's
second largest barrier reef.

Howler Monkey River Expedition
After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a small
village near the mouth of the Monkey River, where you will begin a leisurely
cruise upstream. Along the way, the guide will provide enlightening commentary
about the region's history, including how the economy boomed in the late 19th
century when large volumes of bananas were exported.
Little evidence of that thriving time period remains, as the
meandering Monkey River is bordered by undeveloped rainforest. Natural beauty
and remarkably diverse flora and fauna are now the main attractions.
You can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including
crocodiles sunning on the riverbanks, turtles popping their heads above the
water's surface, and iguanas perched in the tree limbs. You might even spot a
troop of black howler monkeys screeching in the forest.
Tropical
birds are just as abundant along the river, especially wading birds such as
herons, brightly colored tanagers and keel-billed toucans, the national bird of
Belize. Toucans are easy to spot because of their large, colorful bills and how
they croak like frogs.
Once
you disembark, you will hike through the surrounding forest while the
naturalist guide points out plants with medicinal qualities. For instance,
leaves of the soursop are often brewed into a tea that reduces fever, and the
wild yam has anti-inflammatory properties.

Barrier Reef Snorkel
Snorkel the azure waters adjacent to the Belize's Barrier Reef, the world’s largest
living barrier reef.
This is a shallow water entry, well suited for beginners and
intermediate snorkelers. Depart from the Harvest Caye Marina on one of our
comfortable snorkel vessels for the short scenic ride to a beautiful site along
the reef. This location is teeming with multitudes of colorful reef fish,
co-habiting among the beautiful hard and soft coral formations, intermingled
with sponges, sea fans, and delicate sea anemones.
Possible sightings of spotted eagle rays and schools of larger
fish are quite common, large starfish, queen conchs, and sea cucumbers also
call this patch of the reef home. After snorkeling, re-board your boat and
enjoy the return trip while listening to Caribbean rhythmic vibes. After
returning to the pier, as you step off the boat, you can pick up your
complimentary rum punch.

Turtle Encounter,
Snorkeling And Beach Break At Silk Caye
Snorkel through crystal-clear waters that are home to sea
turtles and countless tropical fish as a prelude to relaxing on the beach that
rims lovely Silk Caye. As you cruise toward the caye, you will pass other
barrier islands and a largely undeveloped coastline whose natural beauty is
inspiring. The boat will anchor at a spot where hawksbill, green and loggerhead
sea turtles are often seen. While there is no telling what you will observe
underwater, it will definitely be a thrill if one of these magnificent
creatures gracefully swims by.
You will also have the opportunity to snorkel the coral reefs
off Silk Caye, which are teeming with brightly colored fish such as tiger
groupers, rainbow parrotfish and yellow-striped goatfish. Free time follows on
the beach at Silk Caye, where you can stretch out and bask in the sun while
enjoying a cool fruit punch. Rum punch will be served on the return cruise.

Chacchoben Mayan Ruins & Mahikal Beach
This shore excursion offers an authentic ,
less crowded Mayan ruin experience with lush jungle surroundings and history,
as well as an opportunity to see wildlife (monkeys) , followed by a local
buffet lunch beachside and then a chance to swim in the clear ocean waters.
Experience Mayan history and a jungle retreat with an open bar
& buffet lunch. Your tour begins when your bilingual guide meets you at the
end of the pier and escorts you to your air-conditioned transfer vehicle
waiting on site. Listen to your guide and learn about the interesting local
area and culture from onboard commentary as you pass through the fishing
village. Continue this tour inland to visit “The Place of the Red Corn”,
Chacchoben, learn about the fascinating Mayan culture during the journey from our
knowledgeable guides.
Enjoy a guided tour of this unique archaeological site set in
beautiful surroundings still partially covered by the rain forest. Climb to the
top of the “Gran Basamento” taking you above the tree line and visit two sacred
temples. Before leaving, you will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs from
shops on site.
Your journey continues to a buffet lunch waiting for you at
Mahikal Beach. Take a swim at sea and enjoy all complimentary drinks including
your favorite cocktails. Feeling fully relaxed, well-fed and in good spirits,
your transfer awaits to return you to the ship.
During the tour, you will reach a structure known as the Gran
Basamento, which is not a pyramid, but an elevated platform. To access
additional ruins located on the second level, it is necessary to climb
approximately 40 steps. This ascent will give you a broader view and allow you
to see other pyramids (ruins) that are not visible from the lower level.
