OUR FAVORITE/RECOMMENDED EXCURSION IN THIS PORT
Shiraito
Waterfall Code: SMZ-C $149 Per guest
duration 4 hours
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately one-hour
drive to the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine. Fujisan means 'Mt. Fuji' in Japanese,
and this shrine was built in 27 B.C. by the emperor at that time to calm Mt.
Fuji's huge eruptions. This shrine has enshrined Mt. Fuji, and was the first of
the Sengen Shrines that were subsequently constructed throughout Japan. Upon
arrival at this expansive, approximately 67,200-square-yard (about
56,188-square-metre) property, take a guided stroll. Along the way, see the main
building, Mt. Fuji and other picturesque sights of interest.
You will get an excellent view of the majestic Mt.
Fuji and its iconic cone shape, viewing it from the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine in
Fujinomiya.
As the head shrine of over 1,300 Sengen
shrines, it is located at the foot of the mountain, offering a majestic view of
the summit, often framed by the shrine's Torii gates and surrounding nature.
·
Best
Views: The main
entrance, marked by a large red torii gate, offers an impressive, iconic view
of the shrine with Mt. Fuji in the background.

Spot: The
shrine's, Kagami-ike (Mirror Pond), can provide a beautiful reflection of the
mountain on a clear, calm day.
Next, re-board the tour coach as it then proceeds to the
Shiraito Waterfall, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Renowned as a beautiful
waterfall, Shiraito means 'white thread'. During your visit, marvel at the
scenic splendor of the waterfall and its surrounds.
Fed by Fuji's spring water, the waterfall
features countless, delicate, white streams resembling silk threads falling
over a mossy, curved cliff.
Beautiful Shiraito Waterfall, near Mount Fuji
. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach
and relax as you enjoy the short drive back to the pier.
Wed, April 28 AND THURSDAY APRIL 29TH , 2027 Kobe, Japan
DOCKED FROM WED. AT 1PM THROUGH THURSDAY AT 6PM FOR TWO
DAYS OF SHORE EXCURSIONS TO EXPLORE KOBE, OSAKA AND KYOTO JAPAN
The Japanese city of
Kobe needs no introduction. The name is synonymous with its homegrown
superstar. We are not talking of its stunning shrines, cherry trees laden with
blossom during sakura, or effervescent city, buzzing with life 24/7. We are of
course talking of a much more grass roots hero - its eponymous beef. The
delicacy might have put the city on the map, but there is far more to Kobe than
its meat.
Kobe's location on the
calm Inland Sea between Osaka and Kyoto has proven to be pivotal in Japanese
history
The city and region are
home to many attractions including the Himeji Castle (widely considered to be
Japan's most beautiful feudal castle), a short ride away.

DOCKED IN KOBE
DAY ONE IN KOBE
Nara UNESCO World Heritage Sites Code: KOB-C $119
Per guest
Discover a pair of
magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Sites during this scenic, half-day
sightseeing excursion to Nara
Depart the pier for the scenic, drive to the Todaiji Temple. The temple is famous for its great copper image of
Buddha, the symbol of Nara. With a height of approximately 59 feet (about 18 meters)
from the ground, this Buddha image was the largest in the world at the time
of its completion in 752 A.D. The
temple building itself is the largest existing wooden structure in the world.
Reconstructed in the mid-Edo Period (1603-1867), it measures approximately 187
feet (about 57 meters) in width and approximately 157 feet (about 48 meters) in
height.
Whilst strolling through the temple, you may see many
deer. They are considered messengers of the gods
in the Shinto religion and are allowed to roam freely here.
Leaving the temple, your next
stop is the Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Originally constructed in 768 A.D. by the Fujiwaras, a prominent
feudal family, this shrine has been rebuilt over 50 times in accordance with
Shinto custom to purify the site.
More than 2,000 stone lanterns line the
pathways, and are lit only three times a year on
special festival days.
Upon arrival, pass through
the Torii Gate to experience the unique architectural style of the shrine,
including the shape of the roof and brilliant vermilion and green halls.
Following your visit,
re-board your coach and commence the approximately 90-minute drive back to the
pier.

Shimanto River — Shikoku’s longest — draws outdoor enthusiasts with peaceful
hiking trails and a serene backdrop for reflection. Facing the vast Pacific on
Shikoku's southern coast, Kochi is celebrated for its katsuo no tataki —
lightly seared skipjack tuna — and thriving sake-brewing tradition.

Feudal Kochi Code: KCK-A $149 Per guest
1.
2.
duration 4 hours
Known for its mountains,
rivers, and Pacific beaches, Kochi Prefecture is also home to one of Japan’s
best-preserved feudal castles, a primary destination in this half-day
history-focused excursion.
A visit to Kochi Castle
A half-hour coach drive from the port transports you back to
1603, when Kochi Castle was first built. Dominating the horizon from every
vantage point, this massive 5-tier landmark retains several original palace
gates and all of its architectural majesty despite having endured multiple
attacks and restorations over the centuries. The structures in the castle’s
honmaru – the virtually impregnable inner ring defending its ruler’s
living quarters – house local and historical treasures and are designated
Important Cultural Properties. Those who accept the challenge of the steep stairway
climb to the top of the main tower are rewarded with jaw-dropping city views.
The castle grounds have become a popular public park dotted with photo-worthy
statues of the Yamanouchi family.
Katsurahama Beach & The Samurai Hero
After your 90-minute Kochi Castle
experience, a scenic drive south provides views of Mount Godai and ends at
Katsurahama Beach, a crescent-shaped strand framed by rocky capes and Japanese
pines and ranked one of Japan’s 100 Best Beaches.
Take
some free time to admire unspoiled panoramas along the Pacific shore before
rejoining your guide for an easy-paced walk and climb to a bronze monument and
small museum commemorating Sakamoto Ryoma, the low-caste samurai swordsman who
helped topple the Tokugawa shogunate in the mid-19th century.
Sat, May 1, 2027 Hiroshima, Japan 8am-5pm
With its cosmopolitan energy,
contemplative gardens, and spiritual depth, Hiroshima is a true center of
Japanese creativity. Koi carp ease through ponds while water trickles beneath
ornamental bridges in the peaceful Shukkei-en garden.
The reconstructed Hiroshima Castle
recalls the feudal era, and shrines are resplendent as the Sakura season’s pale
pink spreads. In this culinary capital, okonomiyaki — an umami-rich savory
pancake — is a must.
Hiroshima is brushed with artistry too, and is
renowned for its handmade Kumano brushes, crafted in the surrounding hills
since the Edo period for calligraphy and traditional ink painting.
The iconic floating torii gate of
sacred Miyajima Island is also within reach, rising from calm waters. Cradled
by the Honkawa and Motoyasu rivers, the Peace Memorial Park, Peace Memorial
Museum, and Genbaku Dome offer spaces to reflect on the events of 1945.
RECOMMENDED SHORE EXCURSIONS:
Miyajima Island & Torii Gate Code: HIJ-G $149 Per guest
duration 4.5 hours
Depart the pier for the scenic,
approximately 45-minute drive to the Miyajima-guchi Ferry Terminal. Upon
arrival, embark a ferry for the short ride to Miyajima Island. Only 12 square
miles (about 31 square kilometres) in area and consisting mostly of steep,
wooded hills, Miyajima is ranked as one of the three most scenic spots in the
country. During your guided walking tour of Miyajima Island, take in exquisite
views of your picturesque surrounds and stop for a visit at the majestic
Itsukushima Jinja Shrine.
Itsukushima Jinja Shrine, Torii Gate,
Boardwalks, Buildings, Prayer & Main Halls, Noh Theatre Stage
This UNESCO World Heritage Site, National
Treasure, and Important Cultural Property is thought to date from the mid-16th
century. Its dramatic, approximately 50-foot-tall (about 15.2-foot-tall),
reddish-orange-colored Torii Gate is distinctively built over water, giving it
the illusion of ‘floating’ in the sea during high tide. Built on pillars, the
shrine complex consists of multiple buildings, including a Prayer Hall and Main
Hall, all of which are connected by boardwalks. There is also the Noh Theatre
Stage, where plays that paid homage to the gods were once performed, and,
surprisingly, many wild deer that can be seen walking around the island.
The
beautiful scenery surrounding the shrine is a photo happy image
Free Time, Independent Shopping &
Browsing, Ferry-Ride, Hiroshima
Following your tour, some free time is made
available to explore the streets of the island and browse the local shops at
your leisure. Afterward, return to the ferry terminal and embark your ferry for
the short ride back to Hiroshima. Upon arrival, disembark the ferry, re-board
your coach, and commence the approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.

NUMBER TWO
Peace Memorial Park & Museum Code: HIJ-F $119 Per gues
Duration 3 hours
Explore the pathos of war and impact of the
nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima during this compelling, half-day sightseeing
excursion to the Hiroshima Peace Park Memorial & Museum.
Hiroshima, Peace Memorial Park & Museum,
Memorials, Monuments, Museums, Lecture Halls
Depart the pier for the scenic,
approximately 30-minute drive to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park &
Museum. The location of the park was once the busiest downtown commercial and
residential district, and it was subsequently built on an open field created by
the explosion. Today, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is home to many memorials,
monuments, museums, and lecture halls, and draws over a million visitors
annually.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is dedicated
to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer from a
nuclear attack at the end of World War II, on August 6, 1945. The park also
honors the memories of the bomb’s direct and indirect victims, which number
well over 200,000 people.
Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion
Hall Remains, Arched Tomb Cenotaph, Stone Chest
Upon arrival, proceed for a stop at the
skeletal remains of the former Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall,
the only building left standing near the hypocentre of the bomb's blast. The
hall’s hollowed dome, appropriately named the ‘Atomic Bomb Dome’, was
intentionally left in ruins as a stark visual reminder of the bomb’s
destruction. During a stop at the Arched Tomb Cenotaph, you may take a moment
to remember the victims of the bomb. Each one of the 220,000 victims’ names are
inscribed on the stone chest beneath the arch.
Museum Visit, Displays, Personal Belongings,
Compelling Photographs, Related Stories, Shopping
Your final stop is at the Museum, which
consists of two buildings depicting the history of Hiroshima and day of the
atomic bomb. The displays include personal belongings, compelling photographs,
and stories of the sadness and aftermath of the bomb. In sharp contrast to the
atrocities of war and atomic bomb, bear witness to the miraculous, decades-long
recovery of Hiroshima, whose remarkable restoration is truly inspiring in its
scope. Following your visit, you may opt to re-board your coach for the drive
back to the pier.
RECOMMENDED EXCURSION NUMBER 3 IN
HIROSHIMA
Tranquil Hiroshima: Mitaki Temple & Shukkei-en Garden Code: HIJ-O
$119 Per guest duration 4 hours
Step into the serene heart of Hiroshima on
this half-day journey, where nature, history, and quiet contemplation converge.
Mitaki Temple, Moss-covered Stone Paths
Your experience begins with a scenic drive
from the pier to Mitaki Temple, a tranquil sanctuary nestled in the forested
hills on the city's outskirts. Dating back to the early 9th century, Mitaki
Temple is a hidden gem untouched by the devastation of the atomic bomb. Wander
through moss-covered stone paths, past ancient lanterns and statues, and absorb
the peaceful ambiance of this rarely visited spiritual retreat. The temple’s
secluded location and timeless beauty offer a glimpse into Japan’s sacred past.
Shukkei-en Garden, Harmony of Nature
Next, continue to Shukkei-en Garden, a
masterfully designed landscape that embodies the concept of “shrunken scenery.”
Established in 1620, this classical Japanese garden invites you to stroll along
winding paths that reveal miniature representations of valleys, mountains, and
forests. Each turn offers a new perspective, with the central pond reflecting
the harmony of nature and design. It’s a place of quiet elegance, perfect for
reflection and leisurely
exploration.
Following your garden visit, enjoy a
comfortable drive back to the ship, passing through Hiroshima’s residential and
business districts. Guests may choose to return directly to Ujina Port or
disembark at the Peace Memorial Park, allowing for further independent
exploration.
Sunday
Monday MAY 3, 2027 Busan, South
Korea 7am-6pm
A tapestry of kaleidoscopic colors,
intense seafood flavors, and urban beach bliss, Busan rolls across a glorious
natural setting on the Korean Peninsula's southeast. One of the biggest and
busiest ports in the world, 3.5 million people call South Korea's second city
home, and the amiable locals help to lend the city its quirky, offbeat outlook.
A spacious, playful, and cosmopolitan place, Busan is a lively, livable city,
cradled by lush mountains and endless ocean scenery.
Haedong Yonggung Temple nestles on a
dramatic Cliffside, just above the crumbling rocks and crashing waves of the
East Sea. Dating back to 1376, the temple's multi-story pagoda is adorned with
lions - each representing a different emotion. Elsewhere, lanterns glitter around
Mount Geumjeongsan, freshly released from the beautiful Beomeosa Temple, which
was established in AD 678.
The hillside shantytown of Gamcheon
Culture Village has completed an improbable transformation, blossoming from a
sea of makeshift homes for Korean war refugees, into a colorful explosion of
creativity and curiosity. Local artists have been let loose to create
interactive installations, and the entire area is now an expansive canvas for
expression. Lose yourself among vibrant alleyways of flamingo-pink,
lemon-yellow, and baby-blue painted facades in this unique area.
Sample bibimbap, fiery-hot beef, and
rice, from street food vendors, before relaxing on one of South Korea's best
beaches - Haeundae's banana bend of sand.
Metallic skyscrapers offer an unusual
backdrop to this pristine expanse of golden powder and are mirrored by
elaborate sandcastles and sculptures during the annual sand festival - when
spontaneous water fights and firework displays also take place.
Gwangalli Beach is another urban option,
laying out spectacular views of the reaching Gwangan Bridge - the country's
second largest bridge. At night, 16,000 bulbs bathe this "engineering
marvel in color."

your senses with the exquisite beauty and serenity of Jeju during this
immersive, half-day sightseeing excursion.

natural, green primeval forest in Jeju Island was formed on top of a rock. Upon arrival, take a guided and narrated
walking tour through the forest, and listen to stories about the local
lifestyle and people. In addition,
learn about Gotjawal’s diverse and abundant species of fauna and flora, which

in the winter, Gotjawal is the only place in the world where northern
distributional limit plants and southern distribution limit plants can coexist.
Next,
re-board your coach and head to a nearby foot spa venue in Damyang, located in
the Gotjawal Forest. Upon arrival, relax
with a cup of hanbang (Oriental herb) tea, and enjoy an incredibly soothing and therapeutic foot bath. This is a welcome respite following your
forest stroll. Leaving the foot bath
venue, re-board your coach and drive to the O’Sulloc Tea Museum for a tea
culture.
Our
last stop is Seogwang Tea Garden and museum on Jeju Island. Opened in 2001, it has since become a major attraction, with
visitors coming from all over to enjoy panoramic views and photo opportunities
of the green tea fields. You can also purchase loose teas and tea-related
products.

China's showpiece city,
Shanghai is staggering in its scope and scale.
Shanghai is a global

excess and exuberance below the iconic, jagged Lujiazui skyline.
Shanghai's celebrated waterfront, The
Bund, is adorned with grand European style buildings and Art Deco wonders. The
glowing orb of the Pearl Tower, meanwhile, rockets above the bending Yangtze
River, providing a tall exclamation mark to China's futuristic vision.
As our ship of less than 700
passengers will dock at the international harbor port, reserved only for small
ships, we will be only 2 miles from the excitement of the waterfront Bund,
enabling our passengers, to not only enjoy it by day if desired, but also, on
our double overnight docked in this port, we can enjoy ease of access to the
Bund’s scintillating nighttime action,
The Bund in Shanghai is famous for its
stunning contrast between historic European-style buildings and the futuristic
Pudong skyline across the Huangpu River, symbolizing Shanghai's dramatic
transformation from a colonial trading hub to a modern global city, offering

OUR 3 DAYS AND 2 NTS. HERE IN SHANGHAI
DAY ONE SUGGESTED SILVERSEA SHORE EXCURSION IN SHANGHAI
Glimpses of Shanghai Code:
SHA-L
$89
Per guest duration 4
hours
Discover some of the many prominent
highlights of Shanghai during a picturesque, half-day sightseeing excursion
through this bustling metropolis.
Shanghai City and the Bund
Depart the pier for a sightseeing drive
through Shanghai City. En route, a stop is made for a guided stroll through the
Bund, Shanghai's most famous street. To the Europeans, the Bund was Shanghai's
Wall Street, a place where fortunes were made and lost. Along this waterfront
embankment stand some of the city's most prominent landmarks.
French Concession Area, Art Deco Buildings
and Huaihai Road
Next, re-board your coach and proceed
through the former French Concession Area. In the 1920s and 1930s, the French
Concession was known for its lawlessness and decadence. As the foreign
diplomatic quarter, it features top hotels, great shopping, bars and
restaurants in Art Deco buildings. Huaihai Road, the former Avenue Joffre, is
one of Shanghai's favorite shopping streets. After a photo stop here at
Xintiandi, re-board your coach and continue on to the Jade Buddha Temple.
Jade Buddha Temple
Founded in 1881, the famous Jade Buddha
Temple is highlighted by rare statues of Buddha, each carved from a single
piece of white Burmese jade. Depending on the schedule of resident monks, you
may be able to peek inside one of the temples to witness a prayer session. At
the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach and commence the
approximately 45-minute drive back to the pier.
DAY 2 IN SHANGHAI SUGGESTED SILVERSEA
SHORE EXCURSION
The Water Town of Zhujiajiao Code: SHA-G $139 Per guesT
DURATION 8 HOURS
Venture beyond the modern metropolis of
Shanghai to discover one of East China's traditional waterside towns on this
intriguing, full-day excursion. Situated beside the Dianshanhu Lake, Zhujiajiao
illustrates the customs and culture of old-world China.
Zhujiajiao Water Town and its canals
Commencing your journey at the pier, travel
by coach for approximately an hour and a half past rustic farms and rippling
fields of rice to Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town well-known throughout the
country with a history of more than 1,700 years. Covering an area of 18 square
miles (47 square kilometres), the little fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright
pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains.
Endowed with another elegant name - Pearl
Stream - the little town is the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in
Shanghai. Unique old bridges across bubbling streams, small rivers shaded by
willow trees, and houses with attached courtyards all transport people, who are
living amidst the hustle and bustle of the modern big city, to a world full of
antiquity, leisure and tranquility.
Upon arrival in this small town, leisurely
make your way along meandering streets and narrow alleyways on foot. Admire
Zhujiajiao's numerous stone bridges and centuries-old buildings of white wall
or black brick. Reminiscent of Venice's canals, local women display their wares
from wooden boats bobbing in the water. Although this community boasts 36
moss-covered bridges, the most famous is the five-arched Fangsheng Bridge, a
remnant of the Ming dynasty.
Daqing
Youju post office and Tongtianhe Traditional Chinese Pharmacy
Continue your exploration at Daqing Youju, a
post office that dates back to the Qing dynasty, the only remnant of its kind
in East China. Visit the Tongtianhe Traditional Chinese Pharmacy, the largest
in Zhujiajiao that accounted for almost half of the business scale of all
pharmacies in the area in late Qing dynasty. For centuries, this Pharmacy has
established its fame among the locals as it has adhered to the principle of
'Healing the Pain & Saving the Life' based on traditional Chinese ethics and
medical culture. Today, the essence of traditional business and prescription
practices as well as the original 'Shikumen'-style front gate and some of the
old furniture have been well retained.
A traditional Chinese - style lunch
A traditional lunch of Chinese-style cuisine
is served at a local restaurant.
Silk Factory
Following lunch, visit a silk factory where
you have the opportunity of observing some of the ancient techniques in
producing this elegant fabric. See the workers removing the fibers from cocoons
before winding them onto spools. Later see how the fibers are woven into silk
threads.
Re-board the coach for the return drive to
the ship.
Day three in Shanghai, suggested shore excursion from Silversea
Yu Yuan Gardens & Shanghai Museum Code: SHA-E
$79 Per guest DURATION: 4 HOURS
See two true highlights of the city of
Shanghai, Yu Yuan Gardens and the Shanghai Museum, on this half-day
exploration.
Yu
Yuan Gardens
Board the coach and depart from the pier for
the brief drive to the gardens. In the crowded maze of cobbled alleyways that
comprise the old Chinese city of Shanghai, catch a glimpse of part of this
city's rich history. Here, visit the Yu Yuan, or Mandarin Gardens, which
inspired the famous willow pattern chinaware. Built for the Pan family, wealthy
Ming dynasty officials of the mid-16th century, the garden is surrounded by
high walls adorned with huge stone dragons. Inside, numerous halls and
pavilions of characteristic architectural style are connected by moon gates and
zigzag bridges designed to discourage the entrance of demons who can only move
in a straight line.
Next, proceed to the new Shanghai Museum,
located at Renmin, or People's Square.
Shanghai
Museum
Opened in 1995 and regarded as the world's
finest showcase of Chinese art and antiquities, the museum contains an
excellent and well-displayed collection of old bronzes and ceramics as well as
paintings and scrolls. Documenting 5,000 years of Chinese history, this
museum's collections include galleries with ancient sculptures, jade, coins,
Ming and Qing furniture, and Chinese seals.
Listen as your guide provides an
introduction of the museum. Then, explore independently or if you prefer,
follow the guide through the bronze and porcelain exhibits, to the Ming and
Qing furniture, calligraphy, and Painting and Chinese seals. Re-group at the
appointed time.
As your tour of the museum concludes,
re-board the coach and return to the ship.

Chinese Acrobatics
For more than 2,000 years, the Chinese have
practiced the art of acrobatics. Although elements of acrobatics appeared
prior, the time of the Han Dynasty (221 BC-220 AD) saw on-stage displays with
music. The artists combined aspects of their daily life with their individual
and group talents, resulting in feats such as balancing on chairs and tables,
jar tricks, rope-walking and pole-climbing. Between the 7th and 10th centuries,
performances of acrobatics were often held at the imperial court. Tonight, sit

Sunday
Monday May 10th, 2027 Incheon
(Seoul), South Korea
The bright lights of neighboring big
city Seoul might burn brightly but Incheon, just 27 kilometers away, has
nothing to be ashamed of. The coastal city was the first to open its borders to
the world in 1883, and as such has always enjoyed a special relationship with
the west. So much so that it was granted "English Status" in 2007,
with many residents priding themselves on their command of the language.
The city's love of English has made it
a business powerhouse so expect soaring skyscrapers and smart technology as
part of the landscape. Incheon was also the first to welcome the Chinese and
today the city's Chinatown is one of the most vibrant and welcoming there is. A
frenetic and exciting hybrid of Chinese and Korean heritage, it is said that
Jjajangmyeon (black soy bean noodles), South Korea's de facto national dish
originates from here.
Try a steaming bowl from one of the
many vendors, then walk it off with the short 15-minute stroll from Chinatown
to the traditional Sinpo Market for a different kind of sensational feast.
The city is steeped in history,
notably in recent times during the Korean War. In 1950, the US general
MacArthur led UN forces behind enemy lines in freeing the city from North
Korean pressure. MacArthur's victory is commemorated by a statue in the Jaya (Freedom)
Park. The city's history of course goes back much further, with the first
historical record dating as far back as 475 CE. At the time the city was called
Michuhol, only changing its name to Incheon in 1413.
