On our cruise, we will enjoy 2 full days to explore the highlights of Bangkok Thailand, plus a full day to explore the beauty of the Thai island of Ko Samui. 

 

This small tropical paradise, lined with coconut palms and white sand beaches and encircled by turquoise water is a perfect place to escape and explore. Gaze up at the Big Buddha, cool off in the natural pool at the base of Na Muang Waterfall and view the astonishing natural rock formations of Hin Ta and Hin Yai.

 

Next, we will enjoy two full days in Ho Chi Minh City, the capital of Vietnam.

Located on the edge of the Mekong Delta, this dynamic metropolis also features the ageless beauty of an ancient culture. French colonial architecture mixes with modern Asian influences, providing a diverse backdrop for the many motorbikes, scooters, pagodas, and street markets. Stroll the wide boulevards of this city, formerly known as Saigon, and visit The History Museum, which houses artifacts from two thousand years of Vietnamese history.

 

Next we will visit the lesser known beautiful gem of a destination called Danang Vietnam.

 

The Nguyen Dynasty founded this former capital in the 17th century on the banks of the Perfume River. Today it sits as a massive open-air museum of temples, pagodas, palaces and tombs.

 

One of the highlights of Danang is a shore excursion to the sprawling complex of Ba Na Hills, with its cable car ride and unique footbridge.

 

Perched nearly 5,000 feet above sea level, Sun World Ba Na Hills boasts an ideal climate (usually 10 degrees cooler than at sea level). Your adventure begins at a cable car station, from which you'll travel across to the enchanting footbridge known as Cau Vang or the Golden Bridge. it's nearly 500 feet long and its supports are two enormous concrete hands that seem to be reaching for the heavens, while cradling the bridge and its visitors in huge palms. The footbridge is a popular sight for photo shoots.

 

 

Next, our cruise will deck for two full days in Hanoi Vietnam, the former capital of North Vietnam, before the Vietnam War.

 

Today, Hanoi is the gateway port to visiting the Amazing wonders of HALONG BAY.

 

 Nothing can prepare you for the beauty of Ha Long Bay and its 2,000 limestone karst rock formations rising out of the bay itself.

·        Victoria Harbor fireworks: 

The main event is a spectacular fireworks show over Victoria Harbor, which draws large crowds to its shores for the midnight countdown. 

 

·        "Wish Upon a Star": 

Starting at 11 p.m., there are special pre-show fireworks that feature crackers in colors representing good fortune: green for happiness, red for sweetness, gold for fortune, and silver for health. 

 

1. The city has a HUGE New Year's Eve celebration planned. Specifically, they'll have a show-stopping, 12-minute "firework musical" over Victoria Harbor. The fireworks are an annual tradition that attracts many locals and tourists, so you know it's gonna be epic.

2)  And in addition to the fireworks, there will also be jaw-dropping pyrotechnic effects all the way from the top of some of Hong Kong's iconic skyscrapers along the skyline. You've never seen a harbor lit up like this, and you'll remember it forever.

 

3) Plus, this show isn't just any other fireworks show — it has a deeper meaning. Every year has a theme to its fireworks display. Last year,  the theme was "The Symphony of Happiness," and the fireworks connected to five different themes — Fire, Earth, Wood, Water and Metal — each representing an important part of life

 

5) There are tons of events outside the main New Year's Eve celebration — for one, Hong Kong Winter Fest is so cute and totally worth checking out.

 

That includes the festive and beautiful Christmas Town, which will be up until January 1st! Where else can you immerse yourself in the holiday season even after Dec. 25? It's a DREAM.

6) . Arts lovers, listen up: Hong Kong has some incredible exhibits going on too that'll help you start the year off right. Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival is running until Jan. 12. This particular festival spotlights local traditions, highlights on nature, and even some augmented reality.

 

 

7) Spending New Year's Eve in Hong Kong means indulging in delicious local cuisine, with food vendors along the harbor-front on NYE.

 

8)  Hong Kong has an amazing bar scene, too. They have sooo many award-winning bars with unique experiences, so it's a perfect fit for New Year's Eve. The drinks are sure to be delish — and the aesthetic, stunning ambience at each location is worth raving about

 

 

9) And if you're looking to dance your way into 2025, Hong Kong is also the vibe. Hong Kong is known for their nightlife — several celebrities have been spotted at their clubs in Lan Kwai Fong! And if you're gonna party like a celeb, New Year's Eve is the night to do it!

 

10) Finally, of course: THE WEATHER. You'll be happy to hear that the temperature in Hong Kong is awesome around this time of year — much warmer than it is in North America. And December is part of the Dry Season in Hong Kong, so that makes Hong Kong an ideal getaway from the cold and often wet weather back home in the U.S.
