Eighth

Many people refer to Angkor Wat as the
"eighth wonder" because it is a remarkable and awe-inspiring
architectural and religious site.
The
amazing temples of Angkor Wat
Angkor
Wat is famous for being the world's largest religious monument, its
intricate Khmer architecture, and its symbolic representation of the Hindu and
Buddhist cosmos. It's known for its massive scale, symmetrical design,
elaborate bas-relief carvings of Hindu epics and historical scenes, and its
unique, westward-facing orientation, which led some to believe it was a
funerary temple. Today, it is a source of national pride for Cambodia and
a major UNESCO World Heritage site
Shore
excursion synopsis summary:
Journey
to the Siem Reap Province to unravel the mysteries of ancient Cambodia. Explore
the vast wonders of this mystical region, where thousand-year-old temples are
veiled by lush jungle foliage, and surreal floating villages trace a path to
the lost kingdoms of the Khmer Empire. Delve into the sacred realms of Angkor
as you discover the remarkable temples of Ta Prohm, Bayon and
spectacular Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious
monument.
After
arriving in Siem Reap and settling into your accommodations at your Hotel,
you'll commence your exploration of the Angkor temples at Ta Prohm. Originally
named Rajavihara, Ta Prohm was built in the Bayon style largely between the
late 12th and early 13th centuries. Consistent with the characteristics of this
style, the temple features a multitude of massive stone faces. A celebrated
UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ta Prohm was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman
VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian
temples, Ta Prohm has mostly been left in the natural state in which it was
discovered - shrouded by lush jungle foliage and enveloped by the dense roots
of the surrounding banyan trees. Today, Ta Prohm is one of the most visited
complexes in the Angkor region and one of the area's largest temples. Its
surreal amalgamation of natural beauty and architectural prowess has rendered
it one of the most stunning temples in all of Cambodia.
This
shore excursion includes transport from our ship to Siem Riep, Cambodia, one
night hotel accommodations there with dinner included, and the guided touring of the Angkor
Wat complex.
The
shore excursion is offered directly by the cruise ship and can be booked once

some of the most beautiful sites and traditions of Bangkok Thailand itself.
Private Tour of
Culture, Gardens, Elephants and the Sanctuary of Truth
Visit Suan Nong Nooch,
a beautiful and award-winning botanical garden with an orchid nursery.
Experience this Thai village-style recreational park and enjoy cultural and
traditional performances and an elephant show.
The famous
"Cultural Extravaganza" is presented three times a day. Witness the
splendor of Thai traditions and ceremonies, graceful dances from all over the
country, sword fighting, Thai kick-boxing, and much more, featuring hundreds of
multi-talented performers in a fascinating 90 minute show.

buffet lunch before continuing to the Sanctuary of Truth, a gigantic wooden

constructed to withstand the sun and wind on the Rachvate Cape shore. The

There are many places to watch the fireworks
from, the main one being the waterfront along Victoria Harbor. The harbor front is filled activities and a
celebratory spirit of fun on NYE and of course, the weather is perfect in Hong
Kong, with this being their dry season, so expect warm and clear skies to enjoy
the fireworks. Night time temperatures
are normally in the 60’s.and Daytime temps in the 70s’s, all with clear and dry
skies, in this the dry season in Hong Kong.
The Victoria Harbor of Hong Kong is considered to be the focal point of the Hong Kong New Year events,
where revelers gather to watch the amazing light and sound shows.
And To steam up the
celebration of New Years, award-winning artists and musicians perform here.
10 REASONS WHY HONG KONG IS THE BEST PLACE TO
ENJOY YOUR NEW YEAR’S EVE:
1. The city has a HUGE New Year's Eve celebration planned.
Specifically, they'll have a show-stopping, 12-minute "firework musical" over
Victoria Harbor. The fireworks are an annual tradition that attracts many
locals and tourists, so you know it's gonna be epic.
2) And in addition to the fireworks, there will also be
jaw-dropping pyrotechnic effects
all the way from the top of some of Hong Kong's iconic skyscrapers along the
skyline. You've never seen a harbor lit up like this, and you'll remember it
forever.
3) Plus, this show isn't
just any other fireworks show — it has a deeper meaning. Every year has a theme
to its fireworks display. Last year, the
theme was "The Symphony of Happiness," and the fireworks connected to five different themes —
Fire, Earth, Wood, Water and Metal — each representing an important part of
life
4) Live musical performances
create a festive atmosphere leading up to the fireworks!
5) There are tons of events outside the main New Year's Eve
celebration — for one, Hong Kong Winter Fest is so cute and totally worth
checking out.
That
includes the festive and beautiful Christmas Town, which
will be up until January 1st! Where else can you immerse yourself in the
holiday season even after Dec. 25? It's a DREAM.
6) . Arts lovers, listen up: Hong Kong has
some incredible exhibits going on too that'll help you start the year off
right. Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival is running until Jan. 12. This particular festival
spotlights local traditions, highlights on nature, and even some augmented
reality.
7) Spending New Year's Eve
in Hong Kong means indulging in delicious local cuisine, with food vendors
along the harbor-front on NYE.
8) Hong Kong has an amazing bar scene, too. They have sooo
many award-winning bars with unique experiences, so it's a perfect fit for New
Year's Eve. The drinks are sure to be delish — and the aesthetic, stunning ambience at
each location is worth raving about
9) And if you're looking to dance your way into 2025, Hong Kong
is also the vibe. Hong Kong is known for their nightlife — several celebrities
have been spotted at their clubs in Lan Kwai Fong! And if you're gonna
party like a celeb, New Year's Eve is the night to do it!
10) Finally, of course: THE WEATHER. You'll be happy to hear
that the temperature in Hong Kong is awesome around this time of year — much
warmer than it is in North America. And December is part of the Dry Season in
Hong Kong, so that makes Hong Kong an ideal getaway from the cold and often wet
weather back home in the U.S.
So Say

ABOUT
OUR SHIP
Celebrity Solstice is more than a ship. It’s a
destination in itself, one that changed the game with new experiences that had
never been seen at sea before. That includes The Lawn Club, on deck 16, where
you can kick back on the grass, take in a live concert, get lost in a good
book, or just soak up the ocean views.
The Solarium is another wonderful attraction on
Solstice. It’s a climate controlled
Indoor Pool, with 2 Jacuzzis and lots of plush sun loungers under a unique
domed sun roof, allowing in sunlight, without the humidity of the
outdoors. And of course, if a rain
shower ever falls outside, the Indoor Solarium is still the perfect place to
keep relaxing .
Our ice-topped Martini Bar is another center of
the action on Celebrity Solstice, and it became such a hit, it’s now a
fleet-wide institution. The restaurants set a whole new bar for dining at sea,
with our first-ever Tuscan Grille and our elegant and intimate Murano. Slow
things down at The Spa or kick up your endorphins at the Fitness Center. And
let us entertain you morning, noon, and night, from our incredible theater
productions to live pop-up performances around the ship to non-stop thrills at
the casino. Plus, you can share your vacation memories as they happen with
Starlink high-speed internet.
The multi-story atrium at the center of the
ship, with its glass elevators and live music is another popular attraction.
Make yourself at home—oceans away from home—on
Celebrity Solstice.
Some of the most popular features of our ship
