The canals and waterways of Colmar France have earned it the nickname The Venice of France.
We will enjoy these views on today’s excursion by train to charming Colmar France.
today we will go to Colmar France , just two hours away by train with an easy connection in Basel.
The Colmar station is a 15 minute walk to the tourist center of town.
Colmar was rated by Conde Naste traveler magazine to have the prettiest streets in the entire world, lined with colorful houses along scenic canals. Its also called Little Venice.
Upon arrival in Colmar, we will have the full day at leisure to Explora at your own pace before returning by train to Zürich this evening.

OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO SEE THE MATTERHORN IN ZERMATT
Today is a free day to relax and explore more of Zurich at your own leisure or if you wish, take an optional excursion by train to the scenic town of Zermatt,
where you can view and take a cable car to the top of the world famous Matterhorn mountain, if you wish.
This excursion is an optional add on and is not included in the trip cost .
The train ride is three hours each way with a 30 minute connection.
On arrival in Zermatt, It is a short walk from the train station to the very pedestrian, friendly village of Zermatt, where cars are not allowed and only pedestrians and motorized carts carrying tourists’ luggage are seen in the streets.
You will have free time to explore Zermatt at your leisure and if you wish to take the cable car up the Matterhorn, at an additional expense before returning to Zürich by train this evening.

Lucerne and Bürgenstock Day Trip
Lucerne and Bürgenstock make ideal day trips from Zurich, but organizing transportation and excursions to explore independently cuts into valuable sightseeing time. On this tour, reach both sites in comfort by air-conditioned vehicle in one day with your local guide

Visit the Hotel Museum and wander through 145 years of Swiss hotel history and retrace the paths of celebrities like Charlie Chaplin, Audrey Hepburn or Sean Connery.
For any the active or thrill-seekers we recommend taking an alpine hike to the Hammetschwand Lift, the world’s highest exterior elevator (optional).
Descend by funicular again and return to Lucerne with a relaxing boat trip.
In the evening the local guide will meet us again in Lucerne to bring us back to Zurich, where our tour started in the morning.

Our trip ends today and you can make your own way to the Zürich airport for your flight home.
All passengers can book their flight home from Zürich Departing at anytime of the day that they wish.

Optional single room supplement: $899
A deposit of $750 is due within seven days of booking the trip and the balance is due February 5, 2025.

If you are in single occupancy, or traveling with your own friend, you can cancel until January 5, 2025 receive a $500 refund back to your credit card plus a $250 future trip credit toward any other trip on our website for the remainder of the calendar year 2025.
