Day 2 Sat. March 26th, 2022
The Sacred Island
Raiatea is rich with cultural and historical significance. Believed to be the original birthplace of Polynesia, this legendary island is a secret garden of ancient myths and hidden temples. Her unique and fascinating heritage gives the island of Raiatea an intriguing sense of place.
You'll notice the rich scent of vanilla the moment you step off the ship onto this stunning island, with its vanilla plantations scattered throughout. Visit one or two, visit a pearl farm, snorkel the clear waters of the surrounding reef, or take a kayak trip along the Faaroa River.
The Legend
Raiatea, which translates to "faraway heaven," was once the cultural and religious center of the Society Islands. Known in legends as Hawaiki, "the homeland," many cultures believe that this is where the great Polynesian migration began, from which large double-hulled sailing canoes set out to colonize Hawaii and New Zealand. Believed to also be the final resting place for the spirits of these ancestors, the island has remained a place of pilgrimage today.
The island shares its expansive lagoon and surrounding coral reef with sister island Taha'a. This central location and large, protected lagoon makes Raiatea one of the best islands in French Polynesia for sailing, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving.
Mount Temehani, the Polynesian equivalent of Mount Olympus, towers over the northern part of the island. You can admire it from any of the overlooks offers breathtaking views of the island or if you are active minded you can hike to the top of this extinct volcano and encounter the rare and sacred Tiare Apetahi. This delicate flower only grows in Raiatea and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

Raiatea, French Polynesia
Day 3 Sunday March 27th, 2022
Huahine
The Garden Island
The island equivalent to the Garden of Eden, Huahine is an immense tropical jungle thriving with coconut plantations, vanilla orchids, banana groves, breadfruit trees and watermelon fields. Beyond its lush landscapes and bright blooms, Huahine is also a culturally preserved sanctuary with sacred temples hidden throughout dense vegetation. Undoubtedly, this island will leave you spellbound.
Huahine is exceptionally green—perhaps with envy, since fewer travelers frequent her sandy shores and lush hillsides than her favored counterparts, Moorea and Bora Bora. For this reason, though, Huahine has retained the alluring essence and authenticity of early Polynesia. The locals pride themselves on preserving what they genuinely believe is the most picturesque island in Tahiti; and our clients who visit often find that Huahine becomes their favorite island, returning again and again to find the same landscape still unchanged over time.
The Legend
This natural abundance blends seamlessly with a wealth of ancient history and mythical intrigue. Once the home of Tahitian royalty, Huahine is considered the cradle of Polynesian culture. The island maintains the largest concentration of ancient marae (temples) in French Polynesia, some of which are believed to date back to the original ancestors of the Tahitians—the Lapita people—around 700 AD.
As today is a Sunday, the island’s main town will be vibrant, with the local weekly outdoor market of fresh fruits and other produce sold along the waterfront.

Days 4 and 5, March 28th & March 29th, 2022 – Bora Bora – Enjoy two days in the Jewel of the South Seas
Bora Bora, French Polynesia
The dramatic Mount Otemanu stands watch over the sparkling turquoise waters and sugary sands of Bora Bora, reknowned as the most beautiful island in the world. Snorkel, swim with the manta rays or enjoy an outrigger canoe ride through the lagoon and its lovely coral islands.
Jewel of the South Seas
Undoubtedly the most celebrated island in the South Pacific, Bora Bora is French Polynesia's leading lady. Her beauty is unrivaled and her fame, unwavering. Bora Bora is one of the few places on earth that everyone hopes to witness in their lifetime—and once you see it, you are forever enamored.
The Allure
Once seen, Bora Bora is never forgotten. From the day you arrive until the moment you part ways, you will be in awe of how her soaring mountain peaks, turquoise lagoon and luxuriant overwater bungalows somehow look even more spectacular than the pictures.

One of the many stunning landscapes of Bora Bora
The wonderful thing about Bora Bora is that you can be as active or inactive as you wish to be. You can visit the main village of Vaitape and shop at the local boutiques or dine at one of Bora Bora's restaurants including the legendary Bloody Mary's. You can also explore Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu on a guided hike or Jeep Safari tour.
Since water is a way of life on the island, popular lagoon excursions include snorkeling, diving, cruising, fishing, paddle boarding, kite-surfing, Jet Skiing, and of course, shark and ray feeding. You can also take your experience to new heights by parasailing, skydiving, or tour the island by seaplane.
Day 6 Wed. March 30th 2022
Rangiroa, French Polynesia 9am to 6pm
The Endless Lagoon
Stunning, beautiful, this South Pacific atoll is a "natural aquarium," its lagoon filled with colorful undersea life. Visit the pearl farms, dive with manta rays, explore the atoll's unique winery or just choose a calming respite on a pink sand beach.
Rangiroa is quite possibly the world's most immense natural aquarium. Blessed with an accessible yet secluded appeal and a large abundant lagoon, this renowned destination should be at the top of every eager diver's list and equally wonderful as a snorkeling destination. They are also known to attract schools of wild dolphins. The Blue Lagoon, located on the western side of Rangiroa, is a shallow lagoon carved into the reef inside the central lagoon, creating a small natural aquarium.
If adventure sports are not your forte, you can still enjoy an afternoon cruising the lagoon and visiting a number of secluded motu (islets) in Rangiroa. Spend the day at Les Sables Roses, "The Pink Sands," a phenomenal deserted beach laden with pink sand at the eastern corner; or visit the Ile aux Récifs, "Reef Island," where erosion has created impressively sharp, jutting coral formations on the south side of the atoll. On the mainland, enjoy a visit to the nearby village and discover coral churches, quaint local restaurants and tiny roadside shops.
Entirely unique to the destination is the fact that Rangiroa has its own vineyard and winery. Located in the main village of Avatoru, the Dominique Auroy Winery produces French Polynesia's only wine label, Vin de Tahiti.
Here on this secluded coral atoll, there are no soaring mountain peaks or sweeping fragrant valleys characteristic of the other Tahitian islands. Instead, you can enjoy the unique opportunity to admire endless horizons on either side. Fittingly, Rangiroa actually means "immense sky" in the local language.

Rangiroa, French Polynesia
Visit the entrancing Vaipo Waterfalls and Cascade Tevaipo, which is one of the world’s tallest falls at over 1,100 feet. Wander the black sand beaches, marvel at the giant tiki at Piki Vehini, or get adventurous on an all-terrain vehicle excursion around the craggy island.
The Wild Island
The biggest of the remote Marquesas Islands of French Polynesia, Nuku Hiva is wild beyond imagination and there’s hardly anyone here. With scenic drives, memorable walks, stunning ancient archeological sites and plenty more, you will feel like you are in a surreal natural island paradise.
Framed by looming cliffs, the coasts of the Marquesas Islands are a mix of black sand beaches, gorgeous bays and lush rainforests. If Scuba diving is your desire, in the open ocean, encounter an abundance of manta rays, eagle rays, sharks of various species and sizes, jackfish, tuna, dolphins and swordfish. A pod of several hundred melon-head dolphins live close to the coast and can often be seen.
The vertiginous volcanic peaks and amazing slopes blend with the blue of the Pacific Ocean. A special universe opens its doors. The starting point of your island exploration of Nuka Hiva is Taioha’e, the archipelago’s regional capital, opening at the end of a large bay holding the same name. Outstanding landscapes, an incredible archeological history, great stories and a rich culture are all to be discovered alongside a friendly population.

Blue waters and lush greenery on Nuka Hiva

Fakarava, French Polynesia
Pure, pristine and dreamlike, the ecosystem of this gorgeous island is home to extremely rare birds, plants and crustaceans. Quaint villages, old coral churches and welcoming people are intertwined with a spectacular lagoon creating a paradise like none other in the world.

The Island of Dreams
Fakarava is Mother Nature's ultimate sanctuary. This protected coral atoll is a natural reserve for many rare species of birds, plants and crustaceans. Just as these exotic creatures have discovered their safe haven, you too can find refuge here. Fakarava is also one of the world's best diving and snorkeling destinations
You can explore the village of Tetamanu at the far southern end of the lagoon and find a lovely vintage Catholic Church built entirely out of coral by early European missionaries. You can also take a leisurely bike ride or walk to Rotoava, now the administrative center, and see the Topaka Lighthouse, a stone structure shaped like a pyramid that stands 45 feet (14 meters) high.
The main village of Rotoava is located on the longest continuous motu (islet) in French Polynesia. This skinny strip of land encloses the northern and eastern side of the lagoon and is rimmed with extraordinarily beautiful beaches. Life along these quiet shores is especially unique.

The clear blue waters of Fakarava
…And then back to Tahiti for a final night docked to enjoy the Tahitian nightlife on the island if you desire, before enjoying a final night’s sleep on our ship.
Moorea. French Polynesia
Breathtakingly beautiful, stunning landscapes await you, from the verdant mountains to the azure seas and white sand beaches. Take a canoe ride through the lagoon; snorkel, scuba or helmet-dive the reefs, or hike up to the Afareaitu Waterfalls.
It's known for its jagged volcanic mountains and sandy beaches. In the north, Mount Rotui overlooks picturesque Ōpūnohu Bay and the settlements around Cook's Bay. Inland, hiking trails wind through rainforest on the slopes of Mount Tohivea. The Belvedere Lookout has panoramic views of the island’s peaks and Tahiti beyond.
The Magical Island
Believed to have inspired the mythical Bali Hai from James Michener's Tales of the South Pacific, Moorea is one of the most scenically striking islands in French Polynesia. Despite her immaculate beauty, she is far from unapproachable. Possessing a relaxed vibe and welcoming spirit, Moorea is just as warm and inviting as the Tahitians lucky enough to call this island home.
The Allure.
The attraction toward Moorea comes as no surprise; the island is a geographical marvel. Eight voluminous mountain peaks rise from its translucent lagoon, creating a distinctive and rugged silhouette visible from the western coast of Tahiti. Splitting the northern shore are two symmetrical bays: Cook's (Paopao) and Opunohu Bay. The island is roughly shaped like a heart when viewed from an overlook high above the island. Regardless of how you prefer to get there,(whether on our group excursion or on your own plans) plan to see the view from Belvedere Lookout.
You can discover quaint villages and beaches along the waterfront or abundant pineapple plantations at the interior. Moorea will keep you entranced in her magical spell…
The lush green and stunning scenery of Moorea
At the end of our day in Moorea, return to our ship for a final grand dinner onboard. Then, our ship arrives into Tahiti at 8pm and remains docked here overnight, allowing passengers to enjoy the Tahitian nightlife on the island at their own leisure and return to the ship whenever desired for the final cruise night’s rest.
