Purpose:
While its exact purpose
remains a mystery, it's believed to have been a site for religious ceremonies,
astronomical observations (particularly aligned with the sun on the solstices),
and burial.

Significance:
Stonehenge is a UNESCO
World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most architecturally
sophisticated prehistoric stone circles in the world, notable for its unique
design, engineering, and the distances the stones were transported.
BATH
The traditions of one ancient Roman ritual are
in full flow in Bath. Amid the remarkable Roman and Georgian architecture and
the best-preserved Roman Baths of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, a good spa
day is never hard to find in one of the “Best Spa Towns in Europe.” The city of
Bath sits above geothermal springs that bubble up from the limestone below.
Bath also turns up the heat with some of Britain's grandest Georgian buildings,
a mecca for elite 18th-century society.
Later in the day, we will cross the water by
ferry to Wales where we will enjoy the night at a hotel in Newport Wales.

WALES’ CAPITAL CITY We will Explore the Welsh
capital, see many historic buildings and discover its 2,000-year history of
invasions, abductions and conflicts from 1st century AD when the Romans built
the first series of forts.
Then we will traverse westward across the scenic
countryside of Wales and then again cross the water by ferry, this time
entering into Ireland, where we will
enjoy the night at a hotel in Waterford Ireland.

city of Kilkenny, referred to as the "Marble City" because of the
widespread use of local black limestone to construct many local buildings. The
"Medieval Mile" is the city's main thoroughfare and is lined with medieval
landmarks, quaint shops and charming pubs. Today Kilkenny is renowned for its
active arts and crafts scene.
At Waterford, tour the most famous crystal
glass factory and then browse & shop for incredible crystal and glass
items.

you will need to experience your most memorable nights in Dublin; drink, food, live-music
and the best of craic. Live World-class Irish Music 7 nights a week, with two
bands playing simultaneously in separate spaces on Fridays and Saturdays. With
a kitchen serving food until 10pm, we invite guests to eat, drink and be merry
with us whilst getting to know the local Dublin characters that frequent our
bar on a daily basis. In The Celt, we pride ourselves on providing the best
Irish food that that the city has to offer, alongside the creamiest, dreamiest

Brazen Head
Established in 1198, our gastro-bar has been
thoughtfully refurbished to retain the original features that tell the story of
our deep history within Dublin city.
The Brazen Head is open 7 days a week from 12pm to late.
Food is served until 9pm each evening.
Music schedule from March 1st: 7 nights a week from 9pm. Every Sunday: 3pm-6pm.

The Porterhouse
On
Nassau Street lies The Porterhouse. Known for their beers brewed locally in
their Glasnevin brewery, they also offer classic and signature cocktails, and
over 100 bottled beers from around the world. Additionally, they have a menu of
food sourced from local, Irish producers. More recently, they have set up an
outdoor beer garden in Adam Court laneway.
Bruxelles has played an
important role in the birth of the Irish music scene. Bruxelles Bar became a
second home for the likes of Thin Lizzy and Skid Row.
Bruxelles is a
cosmopolitan bar, embracing a traditional Irish culture. You will find it on
Harry’s Street, and inside you will see three bars: The Saloon, The Zodiac Bar
and the Flanders Bar.

you may wish to go to pubs in the popular Temple Bar area. It caters to tourists, so you will be well

If you’re looking for
Temple Bar pubs that host lively music sessions, look no further than The Auld Dub.
Originally a ‘grocer and spirit dealer’ owned
by Thomas Hunt, and later by Thomas Murphy in the 1890s, the building has been
in constant use for over 170 years.
The Auld Dub’s exterior is very impressive and
it still features its original timber sliding sash windows.
Aside from a packed music schedule seven
nights a week, there’s a great menu on offer here for those looking for Irish food in Dublin, featuring dishes like coddle and beef and
Guinness casserole.
THE OLD STOREHOUSE
Located on Crown
Alley, The Old Storehouse was built around 1830 as an eight-bay, three-story
warehouse.
Many original features remain intact, such as
its vertically arranged loading bays, brick walls, and carriage arches.
The interior of The Old Storehouse features
warm wooden paneling, vintage framed pictures on the walls, and comfy chairs,
creating a traditional and inviting Irish pub atmosphere.
One of the more famous pubs in Dublin with live music, it offers tunes 7 days a week, Irish dance
performances, and great food.

arts and architecture thrive amid historic castles and churches drawing
visitors from around the globe.

Castle forms the background of the spectacular Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo,
an extravaganza of bagpipes and drums performed en masse in August each year.
The last time we took a group to this event, they all found it to
