PORT DESCRIPTIONS:

Port
Sorrento

MONDAY JUNE 1ST
ship docked from 7am-7pm

Dramatic bluffs and craggy cliffs draped with flowing pink blossoms are the welcoming vision to this majestic port renowned for its serene way of life.  It is the gateway point of the Amalfi Coast with shore excursions to explore the stunning scenery along the Amalfi Coast, visit its quaint villages, or take an excursion to visit the equally stunning island of Capri, or the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.

Perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, Sorrento is known for sweeping water views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square. The historic center is a warren of narrow alleys that's home to the Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister.

The Amalfi Coast is a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region. It’s a popular holiday destination, with sheer cliffs and a rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages. The coastal road between the port city of Salerno and cliff top Sorrento winds past grand villas, terraced vineyards and Cliffside lemon groves

iN PORT JUNE 4TH
8AM-6PM

Few places in the world boast such clear architectural accounts of their full histories as does UNESCO-listed Kotor and its bay. Roam the city squares and enjoy sweeping ocean views as you follow footsteps through time, including fortifications dating from the 9th century, significant churches and cathedrals from the 12th-15th centuries, the 17th-century Prince’s Palace and the 19th-century Napoleon’s Theatre.

Situated on the Adriatic coast near the Italian border, the Slovenian city of Koper has been overtaken by numerous powers over the centuries, including Venetian, Austrian and Yugoslavian. The city reveals its unique story in its architecture, highlights of which are the remains of the main door from the once-grand fortified walls and the many preserved buildings dating from the 15th to the 18th centuries. A walk in the old Venetian quarter can truly begin to give a visitor a sense of both the city's history and future..

iN PORT JUNE 5TH
7AM-5PM

Dubrovnik is one of the most recognizable cities in Europe. Behind the walls, find sleek Venetian-style buildings and a rich Slavic culture. Home to lavender, olive oil, and gorgeous beaches, Dubrovnik will leave a lasting impression on all your senses.

Though it has only recently re-emerged as an independent nation, Croatia is by no means a new country. There were settlements along the Dalmatian Coast before recorded time. When Slavic people migrated here in the 6th century, they converted to Catholicism and adopted the local Latin alphabet. The region eventually became part of the powerful Kingdom of Croatia. Medieval Dubrovnik, formerly the Republic of Ragusa, was one of several walled cities established in the 7th century to guard the coastal approaches. Its fortification was completed in the 13th century and has remained relatively unchanged. The city walls are in excellent condition and today prevent invasion by automobiles. Within the walls, the lovely sleek lines of Venetian-style buildings complement a wealth of ancient stone architecture. Nearby islands feature beautiful beaches as well as intriguing ancient ruins.

One of the world's most enchanting cities, Venice is comprised of more than 100 separate islands and a labyrinthine of canals laced together by a string of 400 intricate bridges.
